Manufacturing of a floating portal for the timing of open water swimming competition.

Fabrication of a floating portal for the timing of Openwater swimming competitions. Originally built for the Shanghai 2011 world championship, it was then used for the London 2012 Olympic Games. 

Those floating portals have a touching plate and were built with the following composite materials: epoxy glass fiber and honeycomb. The particular technology used by Decision was wet layup in female molds. Now the floating portals are used for all the Open water swimming championships.
